We can have Joy in the midst of suffering, or rather despite our suffering. It doesn’t mean we plaster a smile on our face and pretend like everything is fine. Joy comes from a peace with God that is there regardless of the struggles we are facing. We can have Joy knowing that this is not our home. We have a king who is on his thrown and is in control even when we don’t understand. We can have Joy knowing that he loves us and one day every tear will be wiped away.
