This painting is done with thick textures and rich hues of acrylic paint. The center of the flower is made with crushed mirror for texture and silver and gold leaf foil to add a unique sparkle. The painting is finished with a gloss varnish to create an elegant finish.

It is inspired from the book of Ruth and the devotion and loyalty that Ruth shows towards her mother-in-law Naomi. I feel like in our culture today it is so rare to find someone that is truly loyal. Whether it’s in friendship, work, church, or families, often when things get hard we give up. Ruth demonstrates loyalty in spite of circumstances. She knows that what is best for her is to follow Naomi and her God. This painting is an encouragement to us to find people in our life that point us to truth, that will disciple us, pour into us and in return be loyal to them. Be faithful. Go deep and be vulnerable. When you find someone that points you to God, cling to that person like Ruth clung to Naomi. God richly blessed Ruth’s loyalty, and he will bless you too when you are pursuing relationships that honor him.
