“And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:21
Genesis 1: 20-21 Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
This painting is a part of a series that I did painting through each day of creation. God created everything and it was good. Sometimes people wonder how a good God can allow bad things to happen. It is important for us to remember that he originally made all things GOOD. There was no sickness, death, suffering, or terrible accidents in the beginning of his creation. Sin brought death and sorrow into the world when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. This wasn’t how God created it to be originally, but God has made a way for us to be right with him again through his son Jesus dying for our sins. One day in heaven there will be no more suffering or pain and we will see God face to face. This painting reminds me of God’s goodness in creation and redemption.
