Psalm 42:7 “Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.”
There is a song by Chris Tomlin, inspired from this verse Psalm 42:7 “Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.”
My kids always bounce around in the car singing “your love is like a waterfall waterfall” when they hear it on the radio. I was thinking about this verse the other day though. At first, I kind of thought it was a silly song but as I meditated on it further I pictured how God’s grace and love is like a waterfall! Waterfalls are powerful and never ending, pouring out over and over. Majestic, huge, and awe-inspiring; this is God’s love. God’s grace washes over us continuous and never ending. His love washes us and gives us hope.
As I was struck by this thought, I pictured this painting in my heart, the pouring down of God’s love and grace on us like a waterfall. This painting is a reminder that his mercy is new every day and that his love is never ending.
This is painted on gallery wrapped canvas with acrylic paint and accented on top with silver foil falling down the canvas.
